Abortion-
1.The removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy.
2.any of various surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, esp. during the first six months.
3.an immature and nonviable fetus.
4.any malformed or monstrous person, thing, etc.
5.Biology. the arrested development of an embryo or an organ at a more or less early stage.
6.the stopping of an illness, infection, etc., at a very early stage.
a.shambles; mess.
b.anything that fails to develop, progress, or mature, as a design or project.
The above are all accurate definitions of this act viewed as a crime by some and a choice by others. For decades politicans and civilains everywhere have tried to tackle the the big elephant (abortion) to see if this act is murder or a matter of privacy. Some questions include:
When is the fetus considered a life?
At what point is a fetus mature? Etc.
Personally I think the definition speaks for itself. Constant biological debates have formed forums have been held for or against abortion but there is no clear answer to whether it (abortion)is right or wrong.True, the law does not prohibit it but dose that make it right? Unanswered questions like this bring frustration and anger to sides of the party. Erlyndon Joseph "Joey" Lo,is a perfect example of the frustration people are having just because the government cant decide whether or not to ban abortion or not. "Joey" filed documents on Friday saying his religious beliefs entitled him to use deadly force to prevent an abortion. He listed the name of a clinic, its address and the time he was going to show up - noon that day.He says "I plan on saving at least one human life in Dallas, Texas,". Look at this. This man has completely and utterly lost his mind. Using deadly assault on a clinic with woman and children. This issue is like a boiling pot. The more unattended it is the more it boils over and and destroys. Come on Texas, how far does this thing have to go? whats next bomb threats? Seriously take a stand do the right thing and make abortion illegal before this thing gets too out of hand. Honestly whose to say whats next?

Everybody has the right to express their opinions and believes, but they do not have the right to use force to make people follow your believes or ideas; there are always a person who will try to make statements by using scandals like “Joey” is doing. We as a democratic society had the ability to choose and to pick what we want. So people will choose to have an abortion because they said that it is their body so they can do whatever they want with it. Abortion is a controversial topic because some of the reason to be against are religion, moral, believes, science, etc. Government does not want to have an opinion about it because they will have to use one really strong reason to make abortion illegal. This means they will have to pick a side and make a strong impression in the public to make they understand that they are watching for their interest. But these days we are always going to find a group of people who are not agree with making Abortion illegal, and they are going to complaint and show the entire nation that the government is violating one of their right. I am against abortion because my religion said is wrong, but I also see the science behind the process of conception with for me is the reason I thing abortion is a violation of the baby’s rights to live
ReplyDeleteI most defiantly agree with you Ana.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the United States needs to solve this issue. But I do understand why it is such a difficult issue to decide on because of so many different types of abortion.
ReplyDeleteThe questions are what state in pregnancy should abortion be illegal, should abortion be illegal if the life of the mother is in jeopardy, should abortion be illegal if the child has some sort of illness or deformity, and should abortion be illegal if the mother conceived a child because she was raped.
I believe all types of abortion should be illegal because of my religion. I believe children are a blessing from God no matter how they were conceived and no matter what illness or deformity they may have.
The abortion debate is big controversy for many people and whatever the government decides there are going to be a lot of people mad. There are a lot of people who are turning to violence to get the point across. I am from IL and there were many bomb threats towards the abortion clinics. America needs to decide on the matter quickly before things get worse.
